Description

The COMAS range of Stem Flatteners type CLM are supplied in three different sizes to suit your processing capacity requirements. Our flatteners are of extremely robust design and mainly consist of two hardened rotating rollers (each being 650mm diameter) installed one in front of the other, separated by a small adjustable gap that determines the thickness of the resulting flattened stems. The capacity of an individual machine depends on the size of the roller gap.

COMAS safeguards the rollers by the use of side pistons that automatically actuate to separate one of the two flattener rollers from the other, thus protecting them against overload and foreign bodies, should they enter the equipment.

Our range of Stem Flatteners consists of:

  • CLM 650/650 with a maximum capacity of 2,200 kg/h based on a 1.0mm roll gap.
  • CLM 650/850 with a maximum capacity of 3,000 kg/h based on a 1.0mm roll gap.
  • CLM 650/1100 with a maximum capacity of 3,850 kg/h based on a 1.0mm roll gap.

This equipment is capable to process both cut and whole stems into flakes.
Every Stem Flattener is supplied with a special feed and discharge vibratory conveyor, with the feed unit spreading the stem to be flattened into an even carpet and the discharge conveyor being fitted with a reject flap for the automatic removal of large/foreign bodies
