1. Preliminary remarks
1.1 Introduction. This Cookie Policy (“Policy”) supplements the provisions contained in the Privacy Policy and in any information messages published on the Website.
1.2 Controller. By this Policy, COMAS SpA (“COMAS”) having its registered office in Via Cendon, 1, Silea (TV) with VAT no. 00200400265, in its capacity as Controller, fulfils its obligations to provide information to Data Subjects, regarding the processing of Personal Data, collected by automated procedures through the Website.
1.3 Definitions. In this Policy, the following terms generally indicated with a capital letter (whether they are singular or plural), save otherwise specified herein, shall have the meaning set out in the Privacy Policy or in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1.4 Regulatory framework. This Policy is released: (i) as regards the European Union, in accordance with EU Regulation 2016/679 (“GDPR”) and (ii) as regards the Italian legislation, in accordance with section 122 of the Personal data Protection Code, as well as with the Guidelines on the use of cookies and other tracking tools – 10 June 2021of the Italian Data Protection Authority on cookies, available at the following links:

1.4 Amendments. The Policy may from time to time be amended/revised, for many reasons, including, but not limited to, changes of the Italian and EU legislation concerned and business needs.
2. What are cookies
2.1 General information on cookies. Cookies are, as a rule, text strings that the websites visited by the user (so-called ‘publisher’ or ‘first party’ websites) or else different websites or web servers (so-called ‘third parties’) place and store within a terminal device in the user’s possession — whether directly as is the case with publisher websites, or indirectly as is the case with ‘third parties’, i.e. through the intermediation of the publisher websites.
2.2 Classification. Cookies are necessary to manage the Website and to provide services by the Controller and, particularly, to improve the Data Subjects’ browsing experience. Cookies differ depending on the type and purpose, as hereinafter described.
3. Types and purposes and deactivation of cookies used by COMAS
3.1 Technical cookies. Technical cookies are used solely for the purpose of ‘carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the contracting party or user to provide that service’. The Website uses browsing and functional cookies, in relation to activities that are strictly necessary for the Website functionality and use by Data Subjects. Browsing cookies are essential to enable Data Subjects to have access to various areas of the Website. Functional cookies are used to enable Data Subjects to avail themselves of some functionalities of the Website, which are essential in order to provide services, including, but not limited to, filling in forms, saving of the name and language used by Data Subjects, forwarding newsletters, adjustments made on the text and font size and, in general, to enable Data Subjects to make customized choices.
3.2 Profiling cookies. Profiling cookies are used to trace specific actions or recurring behavioral patterns in the use of the offered functionalities back to specific, identified or identifiable individuals for the purpose of grouping the different profiles within homogeneous, multi-sized clusters; this is aimed in turn to enable the controller to, inter alia, provide increasingly customized services beyond what is strictly necessary for the delivery of the given service and also send targeted advertising messages, i.e. messages that are in line with the preferences expressed by the user in the context of their web-browsing activities.

3.4 Deactivation of analytics cookies of third parties. Data Subjects may decide to not allow the use of analytics cookies of third parties, by alternatively choosing the following options:

3.5 Profiling Cookies. Profiling cookies are aimed at creating profiles regarding Data Subjects and their habits of consumption and are used to send ads messages in line with the preferences shown by Data Subjects during the Website navigation and various interactions with the Website functionalities.
